An 8mm Aluminium round conductor is commonly chosen for its good conductivity, lightweight nature, and corrosion resistance. Aluminum conductors in lightning protection and earth-termination systems are used as Horizontal Air terminals, Down conductors, and in Meshwork on the Terrace. Installed vertically or in a vertical/horizontal configuration, connecting the lightning rod or air terminal at the top of the structure to the grounding system.
