Angled Air Terminal
An angled air terminal, also recognized as an angled lightning rod or sloped air terminal, constitutes a specialized lightning protection component. Its purpose is to deliver effective shielding against lightning strikes for structures featuring inclined surfaces. In contrast to the conventional vertical air terminals installed atop structures, the angled air terminals are meticulously crafted for structures with notably sloped or angled roofs.
Angled Air Terminals system for Solar Panels angled lightning rod or sloped air terminal, constitutes with saddles attached to the raft of the solar panels. The height of air terminals will be around 0.5m or 500mm and are engineered primarily for photovoltaic systems and solar panels susceptible to direct lightning strikes. Positioning of these air terminals shall be derived by either adapting to the protection angle method or the rolling sphere method as per IEC 62305.
