Strike Pad

Strike Pads are ideal for use where Conductors and/or AirTerminals cannot be installed at roof level in car parks or, for protection of building sides on structures over 60m high.

While both strike pads and lightning rods serve the purpose of lightning protection, they differ in their design and mode of operation. Lightning rods attract lightning and provide a path to the ground, while strike pads are strategically placed to intercept and dissipate lightning strikes.

The design of strike pads is carefully engineered to maximize their effectiveness in dissipating lightning energy. This includes the shape, size, and surface area of the pad, ensuring optimal contact with the lightning strike and promoting a rapid and controlled discharge to the ground.
